My dad just said: If Watson's name is John, then when Sherlock talks to him, is he going to The John?

Thus far, I haven't had the pleasure of watching LotR. Only The Hobbit. I have, however, read all of the books. I'm currently reading The Silmarillion. Excepting one, all my sisters have read LotR. Because we have all finished, and she's still on Fellowship of the Ring, I have begun reading it to her.
That much being said, I decided to watch a short clip from LotR -just to see how Pippin and Merry sounded. You know, see how close the voice I gave them in made head was to the real ones. All I have to say is: What in the name of wonder?!? I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR MERRY'S VOICE. I'm not sure what I expected, but that was NOT it!! Today was "Dress Up as Your Favorite Storybook Character" at Levi's school today. His favorite book is Green Eggs and Ham, but we didn't have anyhting to use to dress up with that. Next we tried Sherlock. He LOVES Sherlock. Levi will sit (mostly) still and watch entire episodes of the 1950's Sherlock (the one with Ronald Howard). Having only a magnifying glass for a Sherlock costume, we couldn't do that either. Obviously LotR was next. A-dorable baby Frodo cosplay on Pinterest + Levi, who is 100% Hobbit = The best thing I've seen all week. I'm rather proud of myself. With what I had, I tried to make a brooch similar to the one's from Lothlórien. And, having Levi try to wear a necklace would likely not end well, so it's just a chain pinned to his shirt underneath his cloak. When we walked him to the bus, he was so proud of himself. Instead of running out to greet the bus like he usually does, he marched slow and steady with the air of one who knows he is great. I just about died of cuteness. This was my favorite pic: When I told him to say cheese, this was the pose he chose. (Dang it. I hate it when I accidentally rhyme.) Hope this made your day better. Be kind to everyone! You never know who needs it.
One time we were at the park with a bunch of family. We were eating lunch under the pavilion, and in between trying to fly a kite, I kid you not we look over and there's this guy riding his bike across the turf. Sounds normal enough. He had a sheep tied to the back. A SHEEP. A fluffy, white sheep running behind him. And I still have so many questions.
UPDATE: Wait a moment. Rereading The Hobbit and noticing some more things. Brb.
I did some math and research. Based off the book, Hobbit meal times ("Six a day, (when they can get them)." Prologue, Fellowship of the Ring) are: 8:30a - Breakfast 11:00a - Elevenses 1:30p - Lunch 4:00p - Tea 6:30p - Supper 9:00p - Second Supper (Also known as After Supper Snack, or Before Bed Snack) "...From elevenses until six-thirty..." A Long Expected Party, Fellowship of the Ring " 'We had our supper early with Farmer Maggot,' said Frodo; 'But we could do with another.' " A Conspiracy Unmasked, Fellowship of the Ring It doesn't say anything about Breakfast, Lunch or Second Supper, but knowing a little about Hobbit schedules and staying in line with all the math, these times would make sense. "I am in fact a Hobbit in all but size. ....I go to bed late and get up late (when possible)." - J. R. R. Tolkien " 'Naught wakes hobbit-folk in the early morning. In the night the little folk wake up in the darkness, and sleep after light has come!' " Tom Bombadil in In the House of Tom Bombadil, Fellowship of the Ring Sorry, Pippin. No second breakfast. GUYS. I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF.
My sister said "What about the dwarves in Moria?" and I told her "There are no dwarves in Moria." So she said, "There was." And I said, "Not any Moria." I meant to make a cool picture to go with this, but it wasn't getting done that way, so I'll just post it as is. Please comment with your own verses! Favorite Things (fandom style): Loki's rare smiles and Clint Barton's sasses Also his kids and Steve Rogers' sunglasses James "Bucky" Barnes and they should all sing (as in "why wasn't it a musical?") These are a few of my favorite things! Sherlock's deductions and John's ugly sweaters Holmes' violin and also his brother Hashtag not dead and Moriarty's king These are a few of my favorite things! Hobbits and Legolas and Gandalf and Gimli The Shire and Rivendell, Did I mention Bree? Sam, Frodo, Bilbo, Pippin, and Merry Alternate: Frodo and Sam and Sauron's One Ring These are a few of my favorite things! More verses to come! (Someday)
Happy birthday Bilbo and Frodo Baggins! "The Road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with eager feet, Until it joins some larger way Where many paths and errands meet And whither the? I cannot say. " - Bilbo (in the first chapter of Fellowship of the Ring) **I did not make this image. I just added the "Happy Birthday" to the top. (It was found on Google images, I think. If you know who made it, let me know.)**
